20th Anniversary
— A CCBS Celebration —
20 Years is a MAJOR Milestone …
and in 2023 we celebrated our 20th anniversary in style!
Over 45 alumni families, 20 current families, and 52 staff traveled from
14 states and 3 countries to join us for a weekend full of activities, memories and fun!

20th Anniversary Celebration
It was a special gathering that we will not forget!
Here’s to the NEXT 20 years!
Our weekend began on the CCBS campus, where current students and families joined our alumni on campus for a session with special guest speaker, Michael Gurian. Michael helped us all learn more about brain science and the different way that boys and girls learn and process information.
Next, we gathered around the graduation circle for Honorable Closure, to say goodbye to our current CCBS graduates and families and give them a chance to say farewell to staff and fellow students. Our alumni joined in and also shared their wisdom and advice, giving our graduates both a realistic view and a sense of hope for life post-CCBS.
We also shared several meals, including a special treat … breakfast featuring one of our student favorites … “Mrs. P’s” pancakes.
Later our guests gathered around the fireplace at the lodge as our Director David LePere and owner Beth Black shared memories and stories as a part of a nostalgic walk down memory lane.
Here’s to the next 20 years!
Perhaps the highlight of the weekend was an incredible dinner at the Lakeside Lodge in Seneca, where over 165 members of the CCBS family came together to celebrate our 20th Anniversary! The evening was filled with fun, testimonials, gift-giving, great food, music … and, of course, cake! Founders, Beth and Ron Black, were showered with love and appreciation, and as they said, “It was an evening we will not forget!”
