Julie has been working at CCBS for five years in many different capacities. She started as an intern while a Counseling / Psychology student at Toccoa Falls College, then worked her way into teaching Spanish and working as flex staff. Now full-time, she also shares her sewing and cross-country expertise with the boys and they have enjoyed learning to be experts with a needle as well as running with her in weekend 5K races.

Julie is a mom of two middle-school children, a preschooler, and two fur babies. She and her husband of almost 15 years live in Toccoa. They love spending time together as a family riding dirt bikes, watching movies, and enjoying lots of other family activities in between.

Let me share a middle school story…

I remember when I was in middle school, the YMCA would host dance nights for middle-school students. I always loved to go and participate in dance contests that I often won! Music was as popular in my middle-school years as social media is now, and I would spend hours listening to music and learning new dances. I remember that my grandpa would sometimes show off his dance moves to whatever music I had playing, which I always admired and appreciated. It was great that he took interest and had fun with the thing that I loved most.
