It’s only one week after Thanksgiving and we want keep the spirit of gratitude and thankfulness going!

Last week on the CCBS campus, our staff shared a video with our students by The RocketKids Team, called What is Gratitude & 4 Ways To Practice.

Here’s the summary:

Gratitude is about focusing on the positive in our life and appreciating what we have. It is something that is learned and we must practice. In this video, Elvis, from RocketKids shares:

Four things we can do to start practicing gratitude – right now!

Don’t Be Picky

Learn to appreciate everything. Big and small.

Find The Good In The Bad

It’s important for us to remember that there is some positive in every difficult situation. By exploring what went wrong, we can learn to improve on ourselves and be grateful it happened the way happened.

Take Notice

There are things around you right now to be grateful for. Learn to take it in and enjoy the moment.

It’s Up to You

Sometimes we don’t feel very thankful, but it is up to us to turn that mood around and get back to grateful. There are several techniques to help us do so, like exercise, sleep, volunteering, or taking a grateful walk.

Just remember, it takes practice.
