Boys Boarding School Email Address

Jim came to the CCBS family in August of 2013 as a campus photographer, after hearing how Christy (his wife’s) days / nights went. As opportunities came Jim was able to take the responsibilities of White Oak secondary, 2nd shift floor manager and currently as the White Oak Primary.

Growing up in Northeast Georgia made it easy to love the outdoors for Jim. After getting a B.S. in Communications in 2004, most of Jim’s time was spent behind a desk as a graphic designer, keeping the love of outdoors as just a hobby. “Growing up I had this poster of Albert Einstein with the quote ‘Creativity is more important than Knowledge’. That has always been my mindset when dealing with youth and that is why I enjoy being at Cherokee Creek so much. We are able to be ‘outside the box’ on a daily basis with the guys here.”

Jim and Christy met at the church that Jim grew up attending during a youth event in 2009 that both of them were volunteering at. The passion that they both shared for helping students ended up being part of the foundation that their relationship was built on. They were able to welcome their son, Maddux Elihue, into their family in October of 2014.

Let me share a middle school story…

“One of the biggest things I remember from middle school, besides the awkwardness, was the importance of having people believe in me. When I was getting ready to finish up my 7th grade year I wanted to go out for the football team. I remember all of my friends thinking this was really odd because I was a smaller guy then. My parents were behind me the whole way during the long summer practices and pushing me when it seemed the hardest. I ended up playing that season as the second string QB and enjoying the results of all the hard work I put in.”
