2018 Alumni Calendar

2018 is a BIG year for Cherokee Creek Boys School! It was 15 years ago that CCBS opened its doors to our first student. As we mark our anniversary, we are proud that almost 400 boys and families have been a part of our history. And, of course, you are a part of the legacy of our small school with a big heart.

Our alumni events will be the perfect time to reconnect with staff and fellow alumni and make new memories. We have several events planned for 2018 and hope we can welcome you back!

If you have any questions, please email our Alumni Coordinator Sarah Walsh at swalsh@cherokeecreek.net.

Founder’s Day and Alumni Celebration Weekend | May 3 – 5, 2018

Please join the Blacks, current and former staff, fellow alumni families, current families, our CCBS board members and longtime friends in a celebration honoring 15 years of hope and healing for boys and their families.

The agenda below lists some of the activities that are planned. We know that it is a busy time of year and invite you to join us for some or all of the festivities!

We know the road of healing is not a straight one. Our boys travel in many directions after leaving CCBS so regardless of your continued journey, we hope you will come to share memories from your CCBS days and your post-CCBS path.

You are a key part of the Cherokee Creek story. We hope to see you there!

WomenRest / Mom’s Reunion Retreat | October 4 – 8, 2018

My mom continues to share how meaningful and personally rewarding her relationships with Cherokee Creek moms are. My 15th anniversary gift to her is organizing a reunion with as many of her beloved CCBS moms as possible for a weekend of laughter, love, and friendship. The location is still being finalized, but we plan to be in the Southeast beach region.

Mom has blocked off her weekend and is thrilled that there will be a reunion, but we want the who, what, where, and everything else to be a surprise! More information, as well as a special Facebook group, will be available soon. Mark your calendars and spread the word. All Cherokee Creek moms are invited!

Thanks, Shaler
