Family Center Manager Debbie Wallace

Debbie Wallace
Boys Boarding School Email Address

Debbie oversees our Cherokee Creek Family Center activities including Family Seminars, Family Treks, Women’s Retreats, and Father / Son events as well as producing our communication pieces.

Prior to coming to CCBS, Debbie worked at a non-profit agency to promote Search Institute’s research-based “40 Developmental Assets” — a common set of developmental building blocks critical to the well-being of all youth. This work is an integral part of the work we do at CCBS. Debbie’s experience includes grant writing, volunteer coordinating, and event planning.

“My work has always been in marketing, communication, special events and youth development. Cherokee Creek brings all these skills together into one job where I can work directly with families to help build a strong and positive future. It is a perfect fit for me and I love my work at CCBS.”

Let me share a middle school story…

“My middle school years are a bit of a blur – maybe because I wanted to forget them! I was tall and lanky, had braces, and was painfully shy. It really was in Middle School that I learned how important it was to stand up for myself. Although I did not play organized sports, I loved riding my bike with my best friend and swimming at the neighborhood pool. My family owned a pop-up camper and spent many vacations camping at the beach, the mountains, and even Canada! I am grateful that I had a supportive family to see me through those tough years.”

Debbie has a degree in Communications from University of Tennessee. She lives in Seneca, SC with her husband, two children, and Labrador retriever. She is grateful to have survived middle school and still enjoys bike riding, water sports, and camping.
